Parting Thoughts

We enjoyed this park. Initially stayed here for 2 nights, and later came back for another 3 nights. It was easy in and out, but not the closest to the highway. There is a great dog walk area, and several really nice sites with wooden decks and a view of one of the lakes.

We were only at this park for one day, so it was hard to get a really good feeling for the area. The staff was very friendly and the spots were quite easy to get in and out of. They offer on site track pickup, have a very large dog walk area, and good WiFi. We could not get any satellite signal from our spot (unsure if it is possible from any sites) and they do not have cable.

We spent over 2 weeks at this park and enjoyed it very much. the long term sites are actually separated fully from the general RV park, which is very nice. The park also has a gas station, and full service bar/lounge. There is a fenced in pet run, and a large grassy field that you can walk your dog. Very nice pool and large mini-golf areas. The sites are all pull through, but on busy weekends they might have another rig back into the site with you. This was a very fun park to stay at and we really did enjoy our stay here.

Very nice park. this is one of the closest parks to Chicago, but realize that you are an hour from downtown-with no traffic. You are looking at 1.5-2 hours to get down there during busy hours. The park has a very nice dog walk that is a mini-maze mowed into a field of knee high grass. Note-very mosquito heavy! The staff is very friendly and the sites are spacious.

The first thing that I enjoyed about this park, is that they have TWO fenced in dog walk areas. The sites are very long, but they use the alternating direction method that I’m just not a huge fan of. While it is nice to not walk out your door and see a sewer line, I am often not a fan of facing my neighbors front door. There is a decent amount of space in between each site, and they are all quite easy to get in and out of. Very close to St. Louis, with many area shops and stores nearby. Check out Imo’s St. Louis style pizza when you are in town! They even deliver to the park.
