It’s been a rough month for Karen, Willy and me. Some of the people reading this already know that her mom had another mini-stroke in late September. We were unable to get home at the time, so we continued on the project we were on, and Karen started looking for a different job in the Kansas City area. It took a few weeks, and a flight from Milwaukee to KC, but as of today she has secured her parking permit and schedule for the new job. I took a week off from Velociti to go home with Karen to help get things situated there for her.  We moved most of our belongings out of the storage unit, and back into the house-that was the easy part. By borrowing a trailer from my dad, and soliciting a bit of help from her son, we had everything moved in within 2 loads. Then the hard part-making the house livable. Our previous roommates had absolutely trashed the place in our absence. He fancied himself as a “home repairman” which might be true, with the caveat that anything he fixed-turned to shit. We were blessed with Karen’s friend Sandy who brought our fridge and range back from the dead (I’d have thrown them both straight into the trash). The bathroom was beyond repairs. The rest of the house was filthy, but fixable. As it stands, we ripped the toilet, sink, and walls out of the bathroom. Earlier today I spoke to Karen and was informed that the new drywall had been mudded and sanded. Her son is there now helping to put up the new shower walls.

What does all this mean for canyoufind.us? Well, first-it should be pretty easy to find Karen. Second-the cooking and RV park sections are going to go into hibernation for the time being. We have tossed around the idea of trading our trailer for a smaller model that I would tow around by myself. Next-the cigar shop reviews, will pickup here shortly.  Before we went home I did visit a few shops in NY, WI, and IL-our schedule was just so out of whack that I neglected getting the reviews up. Those are coming back soon, I promise. Finally-the pictures. I am working very hard to get those situated. I was hoping wordpress would have their new gallery software in place before I was done, but it’s not looking that way. I’ve been sorting through nearly 100,000 folders filled with pictures to try to consolidate duplicates/triplciates/etc. I’m working hard to get my side of things fully organized, so that uploading can go smoother, and offer the best possible pictures.
