After a very long day of flights, I made it back after just 7.5 months away. I do want to find the genius that had the idea to put a TOUCH SCREEN video game system into the headrests of international flights. Instead of 6 hours of sleep, I was greeted to 6 hours of the guy behind me tapping the screen furiously.
Needless to say, I was rather tired once I began my 5 hour drive to the hotel. I hadn’t managed to grab the big camera out of the suitcase, but I did have my new work camera close by-which was great when I rounded a hill and spotted Stonehenge!
Turned out there was a major mix-up with my hotel, and right now I have no idea at all where I will be staying as of tomorrow. I did take a few more pictures from my current hotel, and the view it has of the beach nearby.
Enjoy the pictures.

A very well known cigar researcher, actually. Colin was extremly gracious with his time (and his cigars!) and took me on a walking tour of the town of Oxford. We grabbed a latte, visited the largest library in England, stopped for a local sandwich (the BBC-brie, bacon, and cranberry) and eventually made it to a pup with outdoor smoking! We enjoyed a few fine cigars and had great conversation about cigars, traveling, etc. Here are a few pictures from the walk around town.

I get the phone call that I’m going to England…Sunday. Friday afternoon I fly back to Chicago and pick up my truck from airport parking. I drive all night, through and show up in Kansas City with just enough time to surprise my mom at her birthday dinner. She was under the impression that I just wouldn’t be able to make it home in time for the trip.
Sunday I flew out, and a very long 2 weeks began. I started off in London then was quicky up doing work around Glasgow and a few other southern locations in Scotland. Then I worked my way back down towards London where I finally had a day to hop on an open topped double decker bus, and go to see the town.
Here are a few pictures from the London bus tour!
